our story

Currently carrying the title of mom to 8 children (ages 14 & under!) Rayna holds degrees in both elementary education and Spanish. After graduating from Red Bank Regional and Rowan University, she dedicated 5 years to teaching in the Monmouth County area before choosing to stay home when her oldest son was born. Rayna is married to her high school sweetheart and resides in the same town where she was raised. Since the birth of her first son, she has added 7 more to the family – both biologically and through adoption. In addition to her teaching experience, she has been a high school and college tutor, an athletic coach, an adoption advocate, a Sunday school teacher, and director of student ministries. Needless to say, her life is dedicated to children!

Rayna believes in the importance of nurturing the young mind and also knows the need for a break and time away from kids. Having a couple of her own children at home, and wanting to create a structured space for them to learn and play, helped bring Little Peas of Mind from an idea in her mind to a reality in her home!

About us

Welcome to Little Peas of Mind. In addition to the role of mom, we are two certified teachers with a passion for children and education.

We are an educational play care service seeking to nurture young minds and create a safe and inviting space for children to inquire, learn & grow. We strive to offer the kind of care we desire for our own children.
